Thank you for your interest in my campaign to retain my bench as judge of Dallas County Criminal Court #1. I am no stranger to Texas courts. I was an Assistant District Attorney in my courthouse for 5½ years before the Dallas County Commissioners voted unanimously on November 1, 2005 to make me the judge of Dallas County Criminal Court #1. During my last three years as a prosecutor, I specialized in prosecuting those who victimized Texas’ most innocent citizens: children. I sent pedophiles to prison for possession of child pornography, manufacturing child pornography and for committing sexual assaults on our community’s children. As a judge, I continue to speak to children and to parent groups about the dangers of Internet predators. I’m proud that because of my scrupulous attention to detail and thorough preparation, I prosecuted hundreds of internet crimes against children, with ZERO not guilty verdicts. My focus, however, was never on how many cases I could win, but rather on whether justice was served and how our children could be better protected. I bring the same attention to detail and thorough preparation to the bench; I believe a judge’s duty is to enforce laws, not make them. I am a true conservative, and I will uphold the laws of the United States, Texas, and Dallas County. Remember, early voting is from Monday, October 23 through Friday, November 3. Election day is Tuesday, November 7. Judges are a LONG way down the ballot, so please keep going until you get there! |
